My name is Ashleigh Nordstrom. I was born in Mitchell, SD in 1983 to my wonderful parents Harlan and Lynda. I grew up with a great family. When I was 14, I found out my dad was diagnosed with cancer. At first, I really wasn't worried about it and thought that nothing would ever happen to MY dad. In July of 99, I was 16, my dad grew very weak and was hospitalized for many weeks. At this point, I still believed he was going to be alright. My daddy passed away on July 8th this past year. I never thought it was going to happen but the day came. He is coming back this time like all of the other times he left for treatments. It happened a little over 6months ago, but in my mind it feels like it happened yesterday. I have two brothers and two sisters and now at home its down to my mom, my little brother, and me. No holiday will ever be the same. I wait for the day until I see him again. I know he watches over me. I am dedicating this page that I am making with the help of my friend Cat who is an incredible poet and friend to my dad.
